v1.5.1 - Mating : Hotfix.1

So I made a bit of a cock-up. Due to the heat/rut buffs "overriding" the Near Mate buff, there was meant to be a hidden one which did the same thing, but I forgot to add that in, which was then causing all the issues with Omegas dying of separation sickness despite being glued to their mate(s).

This issue was also affecting Alphas in rut, but because of their slower decay, the effects were noticed first on the Omegas (it's also more deadly for Omegas than Alphas, so that didn't help either). Turns out I'm just really good at killing Omegas, this is the second time I've had to hotfix a deadly bug ...

I've still got a couple of other things that I need to look into, so there may be another hotfix in the coming days, but this need fixing like now 😂 Sorry for my ineptitude guys, I swear I didn't realise this was an issue until today.

Download v1.5.1 below

v1.5.1

  • Fixed issues with Separation Sickness
Omegas in heat and Alphas in rut will have their separation timer reverse correctly whilst in heat.
  • Fixed issues with Omega autonomy
Omegas should no longer get the "Needs activity" moodlets from the Active trait.
  • Changed the jj.unmate cheat output
The output should now be less misleading.

v1.5.0

  • Fixed to be compatible with Patch 1.63.133
  • Added mating for Alphas and Omegas
For Alphas and Omegas with high romantic relationships, they can choose to "Mate" with another sim.
Mating with another sim will trigger a heat or rut soon after (for Omegas and Alphas respectively).
  • Added Separation Sickness
Mated sims who are apart from their mate(s) for more than ~ 2 days will begin to feel uncomfortable and upset.
After ~ 3 days apart, the mating will lapse. This mating lapsing is deadly for Omegas. Separation sickness decays slightly faster for Omegas and slightly slower for Alphas.
Mated sims can Reaffirm their Mating, in order to re-max their separation timers.
  • Added Separation Sickness Preventors
A safe version of the Separation Sickness Preventor can be found in Aunt Mai's Emporium and in Uncle Rick's Store.
A dodgy version of the Separation Sickness Preventor can be found in Cousin Jack's Market
  • Added additional effects for heats and ruts
Mated Alphas and Omegas will be far less aroused by other nearby Alphas and Omegas who are not their mate(s).
Unmated Alphas and Omegas will know if they're being aroused by a mated Alpha or Omega, and react accordingly (depending on their stage of heat or rut).
  • Added the jj.unmate cheat
Whilst there is no way to unmate in normal gameplay, this cheat allows the mating between two sims to be removed, without its deadly effects for Omegas.
Sims with multiple mates can choose which mate to remove.
  • Enabled breastfeeding for male Omegas
Male Omegas can now choose to breastfeed or bottle-feed their babies.
  • Adjusted Omegaverse logo features
    Omegaverse menus now appear orange.
The new circular logo will appear next to Omegaverse menus, rather than the old fish.
  • Added new lot traits
New "No Alphas" and "No Omegas" lot traits are available in build mode.
NPC Alphas and Omegas will not visit the respective lots.
Playable Alphas and Omegas visiting "No Alphas" or "No Omegas" lots will receive negative moodlets.
  • Increased Cousin Jack's Market's potential stock
Cousin Jack's Market will now stock 5 possible items, rather than 4, to accommodate for the new preventor.
  • General Bug Fixes:
Fixed issues with Alphas becoming "broken" at the end of each rut cycle. For those on the public version, this will reset all your Alphas' rut cycles.
Fixed typos and errors in supplement sickness and separation sickness remedies.
Fixed buff reasons for many heat/rut buffs caused by Alphas or Omegas.

Further Details

  • Mating
Only Alphas and Omegas have the option to mate with another sim, under the Romance section of the social menu. They can mate with anyone with whom they have a high romantic relationship, irrelevant of A/B/O status.
There is a chance of mating failing, in which case sims will be embarassed. After two sims agree to mate, they will continue on to Woohoo. If there is no bed on the lot, they will get a routing error (but it's as if they just couldn't get to the bed or you moveobjects-d something in front of the bed).
A sim can have multiple mates, but there is nothing currently in place to avoid jealousy. If you wish for a sim to have multiple mates, I recommend using MCCC or Wicked Whim's anti-jealousy settings.
When an Alpha or Omega mates, they receive a hidden buff which will make them enter a heat or rut after about a day or so. This will only happen if they mate whilst not in heat/ rut, in which case they will not have another heat/ rut until their heat/ rut cycle triggers one.
  • Separation Sickness
Mates who have been apart for more than 2 days will begin to miss each other. If the mates do not spend time together after beginning to miss them, they will become uncomfortable as the effects of separation sickness continues. Omegas who do not see their mate(s) for more than 3 days will die as a result of separation sickness. If an Alpha or Beta is separated for their mate for more than 3 days, their mating will lapse and they will no longer be mates. Separation Sickness will only enter it's final, deadly stage for active sims. So if you're playing A/O mates, and the Alpha is active in the final hours of separation sickness, the mating will simply lapse, rather than the Omega dying. (It's kinda complicated, and hard to explain ...)
The separation sickness preventors give an extra day and a half where a sim can be separate from their mate(s). However, Jack's preventor has a chance of failing, and increasing the speed at which separation sickness progresses, as well as having the same chance of side-effects and supplement sickness which his other supplements have.
  • Breastfeeding
The breastfeeding add on overrides the EA XML file for breastfeeding. This unfortunately means that it will conflict with any other breastfeeding mods.
The add on is separate for this reason, so you can remove it if you wish to use another breastfeeding mod. As always, there are no other (known) conflicts in Omegaverse.
  • Lot Traits
When using the "No Alphas" or "No Omegas" lot traits, NPC sims will leave the lot when they instance in if they are Alphas or Omegas. This does not apply to service sims, such as bartenders, etc.
If a playable Alpha visits a "No Alphas" lot, or similarly for Omegas, they will receive a "Shouldn't Be Here" moodlet for as long as they are on the lot.
